Cosmic Experience at LUX Researchers’ Night

On Friday the 12th of March, cultural centre LUX in Nijmegen will be the host of a ‘Researchers’ Night’, aimed at informing a general audience about the nature of our universe and the challenges we face while studying it. A team of leading experts on the field will provide the audience with a series of lectures, addressing questions such as: What are black holes? What is anti-matter? And how do we know these mind-boggling phenomena are out there? Moreover, there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to ask questions and interact with the researchers.

Since these topics will be discussed in light of Team Cosmic Experience’s efforts, the team will be present. Starting off the lectures and discussions, Cosmic Experience will give a sparkling presentation about the event that will take place during the summer. The audience will be informed as to how cosmic rays can be turned into music and they will even experience what cosmic radiation sounds like! An interesting and unique preview for the upcoming event!

The Researchers’ Night will provide visitors with the knowledge of the science that is underlying the Cosmic Experience project.

The LUX Researchers’ Night will be held at Friday 12 March, and starts at 20:00.
Admission is open to anyone interested, for a fee of €7,50. Reservations may be necessary. For details, please visit the LUX-website (in Dutch).

Was te gek! Ik voel me wel opeens wel heel nietig na al die lichtjaren en zwarte gaten.
